Licensed Counseling Intern
Meet Renee
Welcome — I’m so glad you’re here.
You are the expert in your life. My goal as a counselor is to walk alongside you as you seek healing, growth, and meaning. I believe each person carries unique strengths and stories, and I am committed to helping you uncover those strengths, embrace your identity, and move toward a life of wholeness.
I view therapy as a relational and restorative space. While relationships can be a source of pain, they are also central to our healing. Through guiding questions, thoughtful reflection, and collaborative goal-setting, we will work together to explore the areas of your life that feel stuck or broken.
In this process, I am continually moved by the presence of God—seen in moments of courage, resilience, humility, and grace. If you are ready to take the next step toward healing, I would be honored to be part of your journey.

I draw from evidence-based approaches—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. These tools help us examine thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, offering practical steps for healing and growth.
I tailor our work to your unique story—trusting that God meets us in the process, gently renewing our minds and restoring our hearts.

In 2006, my husband and I moved to Colorado just before the birth of our first child. It was a season filled with change, beauty, and deep loneliness. Separated from family and lifelong friends, I found myself overwhelmed and unsure of how to navigate the new world of motherhood. Through God’s grace and the support of meaningful relationships, I emerged from one of the most challenging seasons of my life.
Before moving to Colorado, I worked as a Special Education teacher for middle and high school students, deeply committed to advocating for each student’s unique needs. Writing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) taught me the importance of personalized support and collaboration—skills I now bring into my counseling practice to help clients find tailored paths toward growth and healing.
Today, I’m blessed to share life with my husband, six children, and a small flock of backyard chickens. We’ve found joy in the simple things, spending time in nature, and with our church community. In addition, for the past decade, I’ve found joy in the restorative work of refinishing vintage furniture and leading creative workshops for women in Larimer County. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the healing power of creativity, community, and renewal—values I carry into the counseling space.
