I believe in the hard work of change and restoration and I believe in the therapeutic process. My work is rooted in an existential and psychodynamic framework but I have a strong interest in attachment theory, mindfulness, psychoeducation, and narrative therapy. Because you and your story are unique, there is no one-size-fits-all. We will work collaboratively to develop your therapeutic goals. I believe in the mind-body-spirit connection where we can consider, together, all parts of your life that help make you unique and healthy as we journey through the process of change toward living more whole.

My journey has taken some twists and turns in the process of finding who I was created to be and owning my story. An artist at heart all my life, I was discouraged from attending art school. I received my undergraduate degree in business because I was supposed to do something that would be successful. I lost sight of listening to my inner voice, I didn’t know I could own my own story. Through marriage and motherhood, I felt restless and struggled with my sense of purpose, identity, and a difficult relationship. I pursued my love of art and the restoration of my identity as an artist by building two creative businesses, photography & ceramics (separately), which led me to coaching other business owners and public speaking. In this same season, I spent time in and out of therapy working on the painful parts of my story, relationship struggles, trauma experiences, and spiritual disillusionment. In that process, I learned how to own my story, I learned to listen to my inner voice, and I learned how to use it.
The truth is I am still a work in progress. I am a fellow traveler. But the reason I’ve chosen to become a counselor is because I want to give back much of the gift I have received in the therapeutic process and in the work of change. I understand pain and hopelessness. I understand hard life circumstances. I understand difficult relationships. I understand seasons of life change. I understand stories that have been left dormant in the shadows that need to be heard in order to be healed. I understand spiritual doubt and wrestling and the enduring faithfulness of a God who never lets us go. And I understand that there is hope, resiliency, personal change, and something better on the other side of owning our story and walking through the pain with the support of someone by your side.
I am a Colorado transplant from the midwest, a very intentional move for the lifestyle. I have three kids ranging in age from late teens to young adult. I love art, adventure, hiking, paddle boarding, camping, fresh flowers, friendship, coffee, and all of the Colorado sunshine. I can't wait to get to know you!
