You are
welcome here
Some families look fine from the outside.
There's food on the table, a roof overhead, holidays and photographs. And yet something was missing: the comfort when you were hurting, the interest in who you really were, the sense that your feelings were welcome.
If that sounds familiar, you're not alone.
When we grow up inside a family culture, it becomes our definition of normal. We don't question it. We adapt, often by becoming the helper, the peacekeeper, the high achiever, or the one who needs nothing at all. Years later, we may notice the effects without knowing where they came from: difficulty trusting, a harsh inner critic, guilt about setting boundaries, or a quiet sense that our needs are too much.
This group offers a place to look at those patterns and experiences together.
This Group is for Those Who Want to Explore:
How a parent's own wounds and emotional immaturity shaped you and the family you grew up in
The ways unmet emotional needs still show up in your relationships, work, and sense of self
Why it can be so hard to see these dynamics, and why seeing them is not the same as blaming
How to grieve what you didn't receive while building what you need now
Practical steps toward healing, boundaries, and self-compassion
Many adults suspect their childhood left emotional gaps that they've never fully named. You don't need to have a dramatic story or come with everything figured out. Many members will come simply because something from the list above still feels unresolved and impactful, even now.
What to Expect:
Our time together is guided by two licensed therapists,
Alex Murphy and Leslie Slepokura, and held in a confidential, supportive setting. There's no pressure to share more than feels right. Some weeks you may talk a lot; other weeks you may mostly listen. Both are welcome here.
Healing from this kind of hurt rarely happens alone. Because we are relational creatures created in the relational image of God, healing happens in the presence of others. Ultimately, we believe that what is broken in relationship is healed in relationship.
Meet Alex & Leslie
Jeremy Williamson brings over 25 years of experience working with men on story, trauma, masculine identity, and the places where strength becomes blurred or burdened.
Tracy Johnson brings 25 years of walking with men through story work, masculine formation, and the relational dynamics that shape a man’s internal world. She offers deep wisdom around family systems, attachment, and the complexities of mother–son relationships, helping men see their stories with clarity and courage.
Together, they create a space where men can do substantial work without losing their footing.
